SE101 M6L3 – Providing Long Term Supports
Providing Long Term Supports
- Interdependence is key! Remember, most of us are not fully “independent.” We rely on others to help us!
- Develop a plan for checking in periodically. This plan may connect to funding expectations.
- A fading plan is the best practice. Develop one, even if a person requires long-term supports. An example is provided to you in this course.
- All those involved in the person’s life, including relevant family, supervisors, and close coworkers, should be informed about how supports will be provided.
